Margaret (Peg) (Whitehouse) Kenney, of Rockland,73, passed away peacefully at her home on April 14th.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of fifty years, James (Jim). Peg is also survived by her children Evelyn (Lyn) Leite, Eric Kenney and his wife Stephanie, 6 grandchildren, Alyssa, Angelica, Alexia, Richard, Eric, Jr. and Dominic and 7 great grandchildren, Ava, Devon, Christian, Alannah, Aurora, Kayden and Ja’Lyannah. She was predeceased by her sister Evelyn, her brother James and her great granddaughter Aaliyah. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Born and raised in Boston, Peg graduated from Mission High School and Bay State College.
Peg’s first love was children. She owned and operated an in-home daycare for many years and loved her “daycare kids” as if they were her own, before becoming employed at Blue Cross-Blue Shield, where she was a manager for 30 years prior to retiring several years ago.
Peg devoted her life to the care of her husband and family. She will be greatly missed.
A viewing will be held at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 at the rotary circle) Whitman on Tuesday April 19th from 4:00-7:00PM with a service to follow at 7:00PM. Burial will be private.
