FALL RIVER… Kelly A. (Souza) Souza-Young, 53, of Fall River passed away Sunday, April 10, 2022, at home surrounded by family.
She was the wife of Levi Souza-Young of Fall River.
Mrs. Souza-Young was born in Fall River a daughter of the late Joseph and Clara (Fernandes) Souza and had lived in this city all her life.
Kelly was employed by the City of Fall River as City Election Commissioner. Even while battling stage 4 pancreatic cancer for the last 3 years of her life, she continued to run the Elections Department with a smile on her face and a heart full of kindness and compassion.
She enjoyed painting, reading, ancestry, and politics.
Survivors include her husband of 32 years, 4 sons: Anthony Adams of Fall River; Tyrone Young of Fall River; Joshua Beland of New Bedford; Quentin Souza of Fall River; 3 daughters: Chante Young of Fall River; Alexandria Young of Fall River; Cheyenne Souza of Fall River; 3 sisters: Gloria J. Souza of Fall River; Robin M. Costa of Fall River; Toni A. Rosario of Fall River, 6 grandchildren, several nieces, and nephews. She was the late sister of Victor J. Cadima; Mark A. Cadima; and Linda Camara.
Kelly was a wonderful mother, wife, sister that touched the lives of many people in the City of Fall River. She will be sorely missed by family, friends, and co-workers.
Services to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Thursday, April 14, 2022, at 7:00 P.M. following calling hours from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the SOUTH COAST FUNERAL HOME, 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River, MA.
