Patricia G. (Golden) Sullivan, age 86, a longtime resident of Winchester, passed away on April 10, 2022, lovingly surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife for 40 years of the late Paul L. Sullivan, until his death in 2001.
Born in Arlington, she was the daughter of the late James and Irene (Doherty) Golden. She was raised and educated in Arlington and was a graduate of The Chandler School for Women in Boston.
Pat was a parishioner of St. Agnes Church in Arlington where she married her husband Paul in 1961. After marriage, she and Paul bought a house in Winchester where they raised their two children. In Winchester, Pat was a parishioner of St. Mary's.
Her good looks and witty sense of humor endeared her to those she met.
In her spare time she enjoyed dining out with friends, going to shows in Boston with her family and travelling to the New Hampshire seacoast. She also enjoyed family pool parties at her sister Jean's and spending the holidays with her family cooking and laughing.
Patricia was the loving mother of Maura G. Boujoukos and her husband George of Reading, and James P. Sullivan of Winchester. She was the dear sister of Jean Flynn and her husband Lawrence of Woburn, the late James Golden and his surviving wife Jane of Peachtree City, GA, the late Virginia White and her late husband Edward. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends, including her dearest friend since childhood Cynthia Cadagan of Arlington. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather for Visiting Hours at Costello Funeral Home, 177 Washington St., Winchester on Monday, April 18 from 4-8 PM, and again on Tuesday, April 19 at 9AM, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, 155 Washington St., Winchester, at 10AM. Burial will follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Winchester.
