Jeffrey Robert James of Kingston, Massachusetts passed away on Monday, April 4th, 2022 surrounded by his loved ones.
Born October 1st, 1956, Jeff was raised by John James and Marguerite Lamar. He grew up in Saint Croix along with his brother Ken and sisters Tracy and Jennifer.
He spent his youth sailing, fishing, and repairing old cars before moving to New England.
In 1983, Jeff met and fell in love with Linda Howell. The two married on August 3, 1985 at the Station One Firehouse in Plymouth. Jeff became the proud father of David Stephan when he married Linda, and they had two children, Kevin and Chandra. Jeff and Linda raised their family in Kingston.
After attending East Coast Aero Tech, Jeff had an early career as a certified airplane engine mechanic and would later work for KAO Infosystems in Plymouth, MA, followed by his tenure at Gillette in South Boston. He had a deep passion for the ocean and was well known for his generosity, mechanical skills, and sense of humor. He had countless friends across the world due to his travels and career.
Jeff is survived by his wife, his children, his grandson Dillon Stephan, his sister Tracy Bingham, his sister-in-law Lee Howell, his brother-in-law Steve “Woody” White, his nieces Brittany and Kelly White, and his nephew John Bingham. His family welcomes friends to a Celebration of Life on Friday, May 6th, from 3-6pm at the Daniel Webster Estate in Marshfield, Massachusetts.
