Christopher J. Carlisle

TEWKSBURY: Christopher J. Carlisle, age 55, a longtime Tewksbury resident, formerly of Chelsea, passed away at the Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston on Friday, April 8, 2022.
He was the beloved husband of Lynne A. (Colclough) Carlisle, with whom he began a loving relationship in 1985 and would have celebrated their 24th wedding anniversary on November 21, 2022, and loving father of Julie L. and Nicholas J. Carlisle of Tewksbury.
Born in Boston on March 26, 1967, he was the son of Thomas J. Carlisle of Revere and Rosemarie (Randazzo) Carlisle of Saugus.
Chris was raised in Chelsea, attended Chelsea schools, and graduated from Chelsea High School.
Prior to his illness, he was employed as an automobile mechanic by State Auto & Spring Company of Everett and previously worked for American Sales & Rentals of Everett.
Chris was an avid auto racing enthusiast and competed in multiple “Class” races in his 1970 Pontiac and 1969 Chevelle SS at the New England Drag Way in Epping, NH. In addition, he enjoyed watching NASCAR as well sharing his automotive knowledge and mechanical repair expertise with his friends and family.
In addition to his wife, children, and parents, he is survived by his brother, Thomas J. Carlisle and his wife Sandra, of Saugus, and his sister, Renee Abbott and her husband Joseph, of Wakefield. He leaves many cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family members including his uncle Richard Randazzo.
