June M Reinstein, 92 of Bedford NH formerly of Lynnfield Mass died Wednesday April 6, 2022 in Derry Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing, Derry NH. June was born in Boston Mass on November 6th, 1929, the daughter of Harry Topping. June grew up in Malden Mass where she formed lifelong friendships with her classmates. She was queen of her Senior Prom and upon graduation worked with her Aunt Peg Murphy at an insurance company. She married Walter Reinstein also from Malden. June and Walter lived in Malden for eleven years prior to moving to Lynnfield Mass in the early 1970’s. While in Lynnfield June’s husband Walter along with friends created what is now known as Lynnfield Junior Sports. June wanting to participate formed the first Junior Sports Cheerleading squad, involving young women in sports and athletics. June joined the Lynnfield Police department as a Crossing guard for two schools, the middle school as well as Summer Street School. She remained employed with the Lynnfield police department for seventeen years. She always said, “It was the best job I ever had, I loved it.”
June was an avid reader as well as a very good writer of poetry. Several of her poems were published over the years. She always had an interesting story to tell of her life experiences and as she aged and started suffering from Dementia some of her stories were fascinating to listen to. Not necessarily true but very amusing. When her husband of 60 years passed June moved to New Hampshire to be closer to her children and grandchildren. She resided in Bedford for the past nine years. June is survived by her Daughter Susan Springer and her Husband Don of Londonderry. Her Son Steven and his wife Martina of Litchfield. Three grandchildren Doug Jones, Michael Jones and Mathew Jones, and one great grandchild, Doug Jones III. June is predeceased by her husband Walter Reinstein and her brother William M. Topping.
