FALL RIVER… Audette, Stephen R., passed peacefully at St. Luke’s Hospital on March 29, 2022, with his mother by his side. He was born March 12, 1961, the son of Doris (Thibault) Audette and the late Roland Audette. A lifelong resident of Fall River, Stephen graduated from Sacred Heart Grammar School and the Culinary Program at Diman Vocational High School. He furthered his education at Johnson and Wales University, and began his cooking career at Union Truesdale Hospital, later Charlton Memorial. He continued in his profession as a chef at Kimwell Nursing Home for over 25 years until his retirement.
Mr. Audette was a loyal patron of the former St. Michael’s Athletic Club, a longtime volunteer at the Espirito Santo Feast, and a past member of the Fall River Historical Society. He enjoyed the company of his family and friends, long scenic rides, the arts, history, and antiques. He has a talent for decorating and entertaining, especially at Christmas. Steve will be remembered for his quick wit, sense of style, and faithful friendship.
Besides his mother, he is survived by his brother Mark Audette, extended family members and several close, lifelong friends.
A visitation will be held at South Coast Funeral Home, 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River, MA 02723 from5 PM to 8 PM on Tuesday, April 12, 2022. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at Holy Trinity Church, 951 Stafford Road, Fall River, MA 02721 on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at 10 AM. Please proceed directly to church. Interment at Notre Dame Cemetery in Fall River, MA.
