Emily Jade Hay died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday, April 4th 2022 at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. She was 40 years old.
Emily was born in Sydney, Australia on April 9th 1981, and came to the United States with her family in 1990. She grew up in Lexington and attended Lexington High School and Austin Preparatory School in Reading. Emily was on the school volleyball team and ski team during her high school years. She received a business degree graduating Cum Laude from The University of Southern New Hampshire. She had a successful career in hotel management.
Emily married Kurt Pacini in 2019 and together they had two beautiful children Hayley and Nicholas, ages 5 and 3. She is the daughter of Peter and Elizabeth Hay, and sister of Jonathan Hay, sister-in-law to Susanne Hay and aunty to Calvin and Elyse. Emily has a grandmother, many aunts and uncles and cousins back in her birthplace of Australia and an aunt in California. Emily loved to travel and has traveled to 5 continents and over 15 countries. She was planning more travel with her family until cancer tragically cut short her life.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Emily's Funeral Service on Tuesday morning, April 12, 2022 at 10 A.M. in St. John's Episcopal Church, 27 Devens St. Charlestown. A family receiving line will be formed at 9:30 A.M. Valet parking will be provided. Her burial will follow at Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge. There are no funeral home visiting hours.
