Charlotte K. Brooks, 100, died March 29, 2022, at Alexandria Care Center.
She was born October 17, 1921, in Hickman, Kentucky, the daughter of Lawrence E. Brooks and Vena (Miller) Brooks. Charlotte graduated from Anderson College with a degree in music and from Butler University with a master’s degree in organ. She worked for Anderson University and the Church of God for many years.
She is survived by her niece Rhonda Brooks, nephew Randy Brooks, great nephews Ryan and Benjaman, and great niece Katie.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Lawrence C. Brooks, and her sister-in-law, Norida J. Brooks.
Charlotte will be remembered for her quiet wit, her love of travel, and her many talents as organist, pianist, artist, and writer. Her poetry and letter writing skills were greatly appreciated by her friends and family. She will be missed.
Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery.
