Evelyn L. (Austin) Huber, age 88, of Norton, passed away peacefully, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, April 2, 2022. She was the beloved wife of the late William R. Huber, Jr., who died in 1973.
Born in Mansfield, MA on November 2, 1933, she was a loving daughter of the late Henry M. and Nellie A. (Goodrich) Austin.
Evelyn grew up in Mansfield and was a graduate of Mansfield High School. Prior to retiring, she had been employed as a Mental Health Worker at Bridgewater State Hospital and had previously been employed at the Taunton State Hospital and the Foxboro State Hospital.
A resident of Norton for many years, her love and dedication for family was the focal point of her life. She was an avid reader, a huge Boston Red Sox fan and enjoyed trips to area casinos.
She was the devoted mother of Joseph W. Huber of Attleboro, Jennifer A. Huber of Norton and the late Joanne M. Huber. She was cherished grandmother of Justin Huber and his wife Alicia of Norton, Kayla Graham and her husband Chad of Norton, Richard Bentley of East Bridgewater, Nicole Huber of Attleboro, Luke Huber of North Attleboro and the great grandmother of Julia, Olivia, Paisley and Kinsley. She was the dear sister of the late Louis Austin, Henry Austin, Robert Austin, Roy Austin, Charles Austin, Dorothy Perry, Rosalie Arena and is also survived by her loving nieces and nephews.
A service in celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, April 23rd at 11:00 A.M. in the Union Congregational Church, 105 Pleasant Street, East Bridgewater. Burial will be private.
