Jeanette B. (Zarrella) Pettee, 68, of Norton died unexpectedly at home on Monday May 1, 2006. She was the loving companion and friend of Sheila A. Heston with whom she resided with.
Born in Boston, MA on April 23, 1938 she was a dear daughter of the late Luigi and Florence (Iannillo) Zarrella.
She was educated in Roslindale schools. She worked for the Bayer Aspirin Co. in Walpole as a Senior Operator. She was employed with the company for the past 14 years.
She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Norton. An animal lover, her family will always remember the devotion and kindness she showed to her pets. She also enjoyed traveling with her family. Jeanette was a very caring and giving person. She had made her home in Norton for over 25 years and was formerly of Roslindale.
In addition to her companion Sheila, she is survived by her loving brother and sister Louis Zarrella of Norwood and Elizabeth Keith of Quincy. She was also the sister of the late Ann Desfosses and Marie Stampfl. Jeanette is also survived by her many dear nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Her funeral, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Friday May 5th at 9:00 A.M. from The Norton Memorial Funeral Home 19 Clapp St. (Off Route 140, Taunton Ave.) Norton followed by a mass of Christian burial celebrated at 10:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church, South Worcester St., Norton. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery, Boston.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday May 4th from 5-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, Jeanette’s family has requested that donations in her memory be made to The Mansfield Animal Shelter 175 Fruit St. Mansfield, MA 02048
