Robert G. Gannon, age 65, of Mansfield, formerly of Norton, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 1, 2022 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. He was the husband of the late Christine “Chrissy” (Caggiano) Gannon, who recently died on September 7, 2021.
Born in Milton, MA on August 22, 1956, he was a loving son of the late Patrick J. and Mary L. (Camarda) Gannon.
Bob grew up in the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston and was a graduate of Dorchester High School. Prior to retiring, he had worked for many years in management positions at Stop & Shop Supermarkets.
An active communicant of Saint Mary’s Church in Norton, he also served as a member of the Knights of Columbus. His family was the love of his life and his hobbies included camping, skiing in New Hampshire and spending time at the beach.
He is survived by his devoted children: Christina M. Gannon of North Attleboro, Gregory R. Gannon of Stoughton and Paul M. Gannon of Mansfield. He was the cherished grandfather of Giavanna. He was the brother of Richard Gannon, the late Joseph Gannon and is also survived by his loving nieces and nephews.
His Funeral Mass, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be celebrated on Saturday, April 23rd at 11:00 A.M. in Saint Clare Church, 1244 Liberty Street, Braintree. Burial will be private.
