New Bedford MA-Olive M. (Coelho) Arruda died May 1, 2006 at St. Luke’s Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the widow of Joseph A. Arruda. She was the mother of Sharon Monteiro, Joseph A. Arruda both of New Bedford, Donald J. Arruda of Newport News, VA. She was the loved grandmother of Donald, and Gina Monteiro, James “Jamie” Markham, and Donald "Donny" J. Arruda II, and Jacob Medeiros. She was the sister of John Coelho, and Irene Boffetti both of Taunton, MA.,and the late William Coelho, and Edward Martin. She was also survived by several nieces, and nephews.
Mrs. Arruda was the daughter of the late Frank and Eliza (Marques) Arruda. She was born in East Taunton, MA. and lived most of her life in this area. She was a nurse’s aid for 35 years with various nursing homes,until her retirement.
In accordance with her wishes she will be cremated.
At the convenience of the family her cremains will be buried, Privately at Rural Cemetery.
