Elizabeth J. Wood (Gore) of Sharon passed away March 31st at the Hellenic Nursing Center in Canton. Born and raised in Hyde Park, she graduated from Hyde Park High School. Betty worked as a Cashier at Shaw’s Supermarket in Sharon where she made many friends. She also enjoyed frequenting the casinos where she enjoyed playing the slots. Beloved wife of the late Francis X Wood Sr. Mother of Richard J. & Kenneth D. Wood both of Sharon & the late Patricia, Francis X. Jr. and Stephen D. Wood. Sister of the late Carol Piper and Edward Gore. Aunt of Ellen Patrolia of Norwell. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Tuesday 4:00 to 7:00 pm. Funeral mass at Our lady of Sorrows Church Sharon Wednesday morning at 10. Interment Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
