Terry “Cowboy” Hobby, 70, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at his residence.
Graveside services will be held 4 PM, Saturday, April 2, 2022, at Evergreen Cemetery, in Fitzgerald, Georgia, with the Rev. Robbie Edge officiating. The family will receive friends, Friday evening, from 6 PM until 8 PM, at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mr. Hobby was born November 25, 1951, in Fitzgerald, Georgia, to the late Curtis & Maredell Young Hobby. Mr. Hobby served his country honorable in the United States Army. He worked in road construction for Ross of Georgia. Mr. Hobby enjoyed drag racing, watching Westerns and history.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Mary Fuller Hobby of Fitzgerald; five children: Brent Fuller of Fitzgerald, Miranda Frazier & Michael of Fitzgerald, Shaye Hobby & Megan of Titusville, Florida, Daniel Hobby of Ambrose and Matt Hobby & Sherri of Valdosta.; five grandchildren: Kodie Fuller, Kinley Frazier, Kelesy Frazier, Caleb Hobby and Kiptyn Hobby; one brother, Jimmy Hobby; a sister, Paula Mitchell; and his fur baby, Max Doogin. Several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Brandy Hobby.
