Mark P. Healy, age 58, passed away on Wednesday March 30 at his home in Abington, MA. He was the loving husband of Patricia A. (Laurence) Healy to whom he was married for 32 years.
Born in Brockton, he was the son of the late James and Ann (Strange) Healy of Abington.
In addition to his wife Patty, he is survived by two daughters, Allyson and Leighann all of Abington, and his sister Julie Healy. He is also survived by his aunt, Mary Healy of Belmont and uncle Jackie Strange and his wife Ann of Duxbury as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother James Healy, Jr.
A graduate of Archbishop Williams High School, he earned an Associate’s Degree from Massasoit Community College. He worked for Travelers Insurance Company for thirty-six years in the Claims Department, most recently as a property Field Trainer.
Mark loved to travel and his work took him to forty-nine states, Canada and Ireland. He also took many cruise vacations and recently toured Italy. He truly enjoyed experiencing many different restaurants, food and local attractions as he traveled around the country. Close to home, Mark enjoyed many years and fond memories growing up and summering in Green Harbor. A sports enthusiast, he was an avid fan of the Patriots and Bruins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visiting hours on Monday April 4 from 4:00-7:00 PM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman and his funeral services on Tuesday April 5 at 9:45 AM from the Chapel, followed by a funeral Mass at 10:30 AM in the St. Bridget Church, Abington. Burial will be in the St. Patrick Cemetery, Rockland.
