Charlotte was born February 5, 1926 to the late Kenneth K. and Suzanne (Antisdel) Sepersky in Green Bay, WI and grew up the oldest of four children in De Pere, WI. She had many fond memories of the Wisconsin of her youth, especially of summers spent at nearby Pine Lake. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin at Madison where she met the love of her life, Michael Fixler of New York City who she married in 1949. They traveled extensively throughout Europe during the early post-war years, living for extended periods in Germany, where she worked for the Marshall Plan, Paris, France and England, where she worked for the Royal Air Force while Michael pursued studies at Oxford University. Returning to the United States in 1954, they settled first in Chicago before moving to the Boston area in 1961, where Michael began a long tenure as a professor of English Literature at Tufts University. Charlotte lived in Winchester for 47 years, where she worked for the Winchester Public Schools as a high school librarian from 1972 until to 1997.

Charlotte was a warm, genteel, generous, and loving wife, mother, friend and neighbor. She was raised Catholic and quietly practiced her faith. An avid Bridge player and aficionado of mysteries in print and film, she loved taking impromptu exploratory trips around New England and particularly cherished spending summers with family, friends and cats in East Sandwich, MA.

Charlotte was predeceased by her husband, Michael to whom she was married for 58 years, and by two of her siblings, Kenneth K. Sepersky, Jr. of Salinas, CA and Mary Ellen Kesler of Appleton, WI. She is survived by her loving sister, Sally Cegelski of De Pere, WI. Charlotte was the beloved mother of David Nandor (Phyllis Halpern) Fixler of Weston, MA, Jonathan Claude Fixler of Port Charlotte, FL and Jessica Ann Fixler of Wellesley, MA.
