Obituary

Loury Fumo Smith, 43, of New Bedford, MA passed away June 21, 2015. With family surrounding her, she passed away peacefully at home, after battling Ovarian Cancer for 6 long years.

She was the wife of the late Richard Smith, Daughter of Ana Fumo and the late Antonio Fumo. Including her mother, survivors include her daughter, Ariel Fumo and granddaughter, Phoenix Hansen ; her sister, Ann Fumo ; and her 2 brothers Anthony and David Fumo (both now deceased); her beloved cats Hissy, Bebe, and Sphinx; and several Aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews.

Loury was a hardworking woman as a packer/shipper for Crosby & Baker out of Westport. She obtained her associates degree in Business Administration from Fisher College. She enjoyed many things including fishing, bowling, playing computer games, loud music, long car rides, caring for her animals and spending time with family and friends. She had much love for bad* sports/muscle cars, Harley Davidson Motorcycles, beautiful creatures called wolves and the Native American Culture. Loury was admired for her strength and will to keep going no matter what life threw at her and no matter how much she endured. Most would describe her as a very loving, silly, and outgoing person, always putting others feelings above her own. She was truly the best wife, mother, and friend anyone can ask for, And above all she was just one kickass person. Remember her for the good times !
