ANGINO, Michael Francis With great sorrow and with his family by his side, Michael passed away in Naples, Florida on March 26, 2022. He was born on August 13, 1945 in Boston, the third child of Francis and Helen Angino. He grew up in Newton Centre, settled in Wellesley where he lovingly raised his family, eventually, retiring in Naples, Florida.
He is survived by his loving and grateful wife of 52 years, Ellen, and his beloved daughters, Alyson and Robyn. He also leaves his very special grandson, Luke Andrew Germain. In addition, he leaves his brother Francis Angino (Angelika), nephew and niece, Christoper and Alexis (Will Cox), his great nephew, Michael Dooling (Heather), great niece Shannon Dooling, brother-in law Robert Weinstein (Bonnie) and nephews Daniel and Alex Weinstein. Michael was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Helen Dooling.
Michael spent his career furthering the growth of the company his father founded, Mass Electric Construction Company, growing into a national leader within its industry. Over the years, he served on several boards including the Italian Home for Children, Federated Electrical Contractors, Tenacre Country Day School and Charles River Country Club.
While he had many pursuits that occupied his time, he especially treasured his days playing golf and the incredible friendships he made playing countless rounds at Charles River Country Club in Newton Centre, MA and Quail West Golf and Country Club in Naples, Florida. He is terribly missed by his many friends and family.
Visitation will be held at the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington St. (Rt. 16) Wellesley, on Thursday, March 31, from 5-8pm followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Paul Catholic Church, 502 Washington St. Wellesley on Friday, April 1, at 10am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment in Newton Cemetery.
