In Taunton, Paul J. Brady, age 87, passed away unexpectedly at Morton Hospital on March 28, 2022. Paul was preceded in death by his beloved wife Madeline (Silvia) Brady. He was born in Boston, the son of the late Patrick Brady & Julia (Kelliher) Brady.
Paul attended Taunton schools and was a graduate of Taunton High School, class of 1951. He served his country honorably during the Korean War while in the U.S. Air Force. Paul worked for Reed & Barton Company as a toolmaker until retiring in 2000. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council #82, St. Vincent de Paul Society and also the Saint Mary’s Conference. Paul was very active in his parish, serving as a Eucharistic minister and also a recipient of the Marian Medal. He enjoyed playing cribbage, watching the Patriots and Red Sox and above all spending time with his family.
Paul is survived by his two children Mark Brady and his wife Marti, and Lynn Mangott and her husband Darren. He also leaves his five grandchildren; Connor, Owen and Sean Brady and Makenna and Alex Mangott. Paul also leaves his sister Mary Carr of Raynham.
Funeral home visiting hours will be held at the O’Keefe Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780 on Thursday, March 31st from 9-10:30am. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Church in Taunton at 11am. Burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
