Patricia J. Walker, better known as "Pat" to those who know and love her, born
March 29, 1948 in Morristown, NJ has gone to heaven on March 21, 2022.
Beloved wife of Thomas Saluti whom she married on July 12, 2008. Stepmother of
Bernard Walker of FL (deceased), Kyle Walker and his wife Michelle of RI., Alan
Saluti of MA and Jenny Freeman. Mother of Perla Walker, Jairo Walker of MA, and
Daniel Walker of NV. Sister of Wesley Conklin III and his wife Rita of FL and Dianne
Conklin of NJ. Also survived by 8 grandchildren, Kevin Walker, Jordan Walker and
his wife Emily, Meagan Blanchard and her husband Joshua, Axel and Bradford
Walker, Cole, Claire, and Clay Walker and 3 great grandchildren, Hunter and Mark
Walker and Annabelle Blanchard as well as many cherished friendships made and
nurtured throughout her lifetime.
She grew up in Chatham, NJ and also spent many weekends and vacations on
Lake Mohawk with her loving parents and siblings. Pat enjoyed water sports,
ballet, choir, being a member of the Girl Scouts and making lifelong friendships,
known as her Chatham Sisters. Pat graduated from Chatham high school in 1966,
she then attended Dean Junior College, graduating in 1968. Pat enjoyed many
years working for John Hancock Insurance while putting herself through school at
Northeastern University where she proudly graduated Summa Cum Laude in
1986. She later worked and retired from State Street Bank in Boston as an HR
specialist.
Pat was an avid camper for many years with the North American Family Camping
Association and assumed the position of Treasurer with that organization. She
enjoyed traveling to many destinations both near and far, by land, sea and air.
Another passion that Pat adored was singing in both her church choir and
community chorus. She always said that she had "perfect pitch". She was always
physically active, snow skiing in the winters and belonging to her gym. Pat loved
her vegetable garden and her landscaping, as well as being a member of the
Sharon Garden Club. Pat showed her love for everyone through her cooking and
entertaining. Just ask anyone who went to one of her famous annual Christmas
parties! Volunteering for almost anything came very easy to her. She was a
member of the Dorcas Women's Group and volunteered at Father Bill's in the
kitchen, preparing meals for the homeless. She and Tom traveled to New Orleans
with Habitat for Humanity after Hurricane Katrina to rebuild destroyed homes.
Her kind and generous spirit shined through in everything she tackled.
Pat loved life and enjoyed every minute of it! She was ever the optimist, and her
smile always reached her eyes! She will be missed dearly.
A memorial service will be held at the First Congregational Church, Sharon MA
02067 Saturday April 2nd at 10:00 am. A Reception will be in the church hall after the service. All are
welcome
