Lyn Sterling (DeStefano) Tremble, 76, of Medway died peacefully surrounded by family on March 23, 2022.
Born in Boston, Lyn was the fourth of five daughters born to Joseph and Edna DeStefano. She grew up in Roslindale, where she met, dated and eventually married her high school sweetheart James A. Tremble. Jim and Lyn settled in Medway where they lived for 53 years raising three children and forming innumerable treasured friendships in the community.
A graduate of Boston Business School, Lyn worked at The Provident Bank and Mass Bay Community College, but her most cherished roles were mother and grandmother. She was an accomplished cook, a tireless volunteer for the Medway Boosters, a dedicated attendee of plays and concerts, and a constant bleacher presence in Medway and the surrounding towns. Above all, she was kind, patient and genuinely enjoyed spending time with her friends and family.
Lyn loved to travel and was constantly in motion. She would often be seen in town on one of her many long walks with her good friend and neighbor Rosalie Maguire. Throughout her life, she embarked on many adventures with her sister Jo-Ann, with whom she shared a special lifelong bond. But her favorite trips were with her husband Jimmy; whether planned or spontaneous, in cars, trucks, planes, trains, bikes or motorcycles, the two traveled through life together for 60 years sharing new experiences and often returning to the Cape and the New Jersey shore.
In addition to her husband James A. Tremble of Medway, Lyn is survived by her three children, Matthew Tremble and his wife Kathy of Franklin, Leah Tremble of Medway, and Laura DiMinico and her husband Chris of Medway, and their three daughters Paige, Cailyn and Morgan. She was the sister of Carol Zurlo of West Chester, PA (deceased), Sandra Muchowski of Jamestown, NC, Jo-Ann McDonagh and her husband Peter of Dedham, and Janet Byrnes and her husband Tom of Norwood, MA.
A celebration of Lyn’s life is planned for July 22nd from 5p to 9p at the Primavera in Millis. MA.
