Ruth Elizabeth Skinner, 87 years old of Whitman beloved wife of the late Joseph T. Skinner, beloved mother of Stephen Skinner and Debra Messier beloved sister of Shirley Greenough of passed at Boston Medical on Friday March 25.
Ruth was born on April 15, 1934 in Randolph, Mass to Mary Smith and Samuel Smith. Ruth grew up in Holbrook and later moved to Abington, Mass where she graduated from Abington High School. Ruth worked for the NE Telephone Co. She met and married her husband Joseph. They were married 65 years. Later in life Ruth was a caretaker to Joseph.
She loved to enjoy a good dessert in the company of her many beloved grandchildren, children, sister and nieces, nephews and friends. Ruth enjoyed family parties and the holidays. She had a sweet, pleasant nature and enjoyed a good joke. She was kind and generous.
She leaves behind a sister Shirley Greenough her son Stephen Skinner and his wife Robin and daughter Debra Messier and her husband Robert and many grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend services on Wednesday March 30th at 1:00PM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 at the rotary circle) Whitman. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 12:00-1:00PM.
