Obituary

Lynne was the first-born child of Marjorie P. (Robbins) and Richard A. Hall of Natick, Massachusetts.

After graduating from Holliston High School in 1968, she went on to pursue an education in a wide variety of fields, some of which included: nursing, computer electronics, and jet mechanic.

Long before desktop computers were common, Lynne was a Computer Technician, who worked for many years at Honeywell. During this time, she would also attend get togethers at the local coffee house called “His Thing” in Holliston, where she met the love of her life... Patrick Scannell.

She and Patrick were wed a few years later. They started life together in Framingham, MA, where they lived for many years, and where Lynne loved to tend her vegetable garden, and raise a cat or two. After decades of a very happy marriage, that included many interests such as: church, music, singing, food, cooking, reading, and partying with their many friends, along with traveling to a host of outstanding destinations, such as the Great Wall of China wall (in photo background).

Lynne had a host of great qualities, such as . . . an excellent sense of humor, a quick wit—that could be too quick, at times—a compassionate side that gave freely to those less fortunate. While asking her closest friends if they had any insight to share, they all came to same conclusion: “Lynne was a unique, colorful, and creative woman whose love for her husband, her religion, and music were passionate ones.”
Outwardly enjoying life until the day Patrick would be diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s. It was a bitter blow, and for many years, Lynne was by his side, doing what she could to help him in his—and her—long journey, until his passing.
She also had a special place in her heart for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Lynne was also very involved in her Church and volunteered wherever she could, no chore too menial. Singing in the choir was one of Lynne’s greatest joys.

Lynne leaves behind her three younger siblings: Robin Hall of Dennis Port, Heather Sawyer of Uxbridge, Richard Hall of North Harwich, and her sister-in-law, Sally Hall (Holmes). She also leaves behind her two nephews; Daniel Sawyer, and Matthew Hall.
We will all miss her light and laughter, but, above all . . . we’ll miss her wacky, non-conformist, and opinionated ways.

If you care to donate to a worthy cause in her name, please contact the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
