Lester Reed Moore, 75, died March 20, 2022 at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. He was the loving husband of Mary Lou (Lennon) Moore. He was born on November 10, 1946 in Bar Harbor, Maine, the son of the late Carol L. and Clarie V. (Reed) Moore. He grew up in Caribou, Maine and graduated from Caribou High School in 1965.
He proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1966 to 1970. During his time in the navy, he was stationed in several places including Cuba, Vietnam and San Diego and was the recipient of many commendations. After his service to his country, he married his wife of 52 years, Mary Lou Moore. They moved to Boston where he attended Northeastern University and graduated with an Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy. He began his career in Respiratory Care at Goddard Hospital in Stoughton, MA and continued with Good Samaritan Medical Center after the merger. He retired in 2009 after working for 30 years in the field.
He enjoyed spending time with his wife as well as collecting baseball and football cards and fishing. He was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. He was a member of West Bridgewater Community Church. He was a man of God, kind, compassionate, strong and reliable. He was quiet with a good sense of humor.
He was proud of his son, Douglas and his grandchildren, Brett and Noah. In addition to his wife, he leaves his son Douglas R. Moore, and grandsons Brett M. Moore and Noah F. Moore, all of Brockton as well as many friends and relatives. He was the father of the late Timothy C. Moore and the brother of the late Richard C. Moore. No memorial service is planned at this time.
Interment will be in New Sweden, Maine at a later date.
