Obituary

James T. “Jimmy” LoGiudice, a lifelong resident of Medford MA, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on March 21, 2022. Born on April 2, 1934, James was the son of the late Domenic and Domenica (Carrabino) LoGiudice. He was the loving brother of the late Joseph LoGiudice, the late Mary (LoGiudice) Trigilio, and the late Alfred LoGiudice.

James is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Sandra F. (Hennessey) LoGiudice. He is the devoted father to his daughters, Donna (LoGiudice) McEachern and her partner Edward Hachey, of Brookline, MA, and Nancy (LoGiudice) Lamb and her husband Jerry Lamb of Reading, MA, his stepson Jay Ross, and his son-in-law Paul McEachern. James is also survived by his six grandchildren, who were his pride and joy, Ashley McEachern and her husband Steven McNeely, Paul McEachern and his wife Kelley McEachern, Jared Lamb, Kassandra (Lamb) Rasimowicz and her husband Matthew Rasimowicz-Howell, Thomas Lamb, and Tiffany (Ross) Lane. He is also survived by his great grandson, Holden McNeely, who always put a smile on his face. Finally, he is survived by many nieces, nephews, and close friends.

James, a US Army veteran, served as a translator in Italy. He often told stories of the beauty of Italy, Austria, and other countries he was able to visit during his service. Professionally, James was a civil engineer in the Massachusetts Department of Ways and Means. He also served as a board member on the Medford Housing Authority. In this role, he was able to help many elders and others secure needed housing. James also had a love for politics and led local efforts to elect Massachusetts Governor Edward King. Most of all, James loved spending time with his family and many friends. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of good food and watching sports. Not a fair-weather fan, he was thrilled to see his long-struggling Red Sox and Patriots teams go on to finally become national champions.
