FALL RIVER… Joao P. Guerrouxo, 78, of Fall River passed away March 21, 2022, at Charlton Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his family.
He was the loving husband of Maria (Medeiros) Guerrouxo to whom he had been married for the past 52 years.
Born in Vila Franca, St. Michael’s, Azores, he was a son of the late Manuel Jacinto Guerrouxo and Virginia Pimental. He had moved to the United States in 1970.
Mr. Guerrouxo was a communicant of St. Michael’s Church in Fall River and had worked for many years in luggage manufacturing. He was a former member of the St. Anthony Band where he played the clarinet and was an avid fan of dog racing. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
Along with his wife, survivors include his children: David Guerrouxo and Danny Guerrouxo, both of Fall River and Lucy Conrad of Boston; his grandchildren: Nakita, Dylan, Owen, Jack, and Sophia; several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Joseph Pimental and Maria Lydia Pimental.
