Mathew "Corbin" Hood, 23, of Omega passed away Friday, March 18, 2022, in Berrien County. His funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, March 25, 2022, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Rickey Wells officiating. Corbin will be laid to rest at Tift Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 24, 2022, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Drew Massey, Nate Ballance, Will Brown, Drake Hood, Joe Rosales and Levi Eunice will serve as pallbearers.
Born July 7, 1998, in Tifton, Corbin was the son of William Hood and his wife, Donna Hood of Enigma and Pamela Crocker Scarberry and her husband, Edward Scarberry of Omega. He was employed with Scarberry and Sons and grew up in Omega Church of God. He loved his daughter, Piper, and he loved fishing and music. He loved everyone and enjoyed making people laugh.
Corbin was preceded in death by his grandmother, Easter Jimenez and his grandfather, Charlie Hood.
In addition to his parents, Corbin is survived by his daughter, Piper Jae Hood of Omega; his grandparents, Luis and Frances Jimenez of Omega and Betty Hood of Tifton; five brothers and one sister-in-law, Zackary Hood, Dane Hood, Will Hood and Seth Hood, all of Enigma and J.J. and Meagan Scarberry of Maryland; an uncle, Jose Jimenez of Jacksonville, Florida; and his girlfriend, Amber Plair of Tifton.
