Christina Morello died peacefully in the company of her loving family after a long battle with brain cancer. She was 57. Born and raised in Medford, Christina is the daughter of Richard and June (Elias) Morello of Reading. She became afflicted with brain cancer at the age of 14 and remained strong and brave as she fought to keep it at bay. A resident of Stoneham for many years and Reading in recent years, Christina worked as a driver with SCM Transportation.
Christina had many interests throughout her life. She was a proud Girl Scout and a member of Medford’s Girls Baseball League. She was a life-long fan of the Red Sox and a voracious reader of Stephen King novels. She looked forward to time with family and friends. She enjoyed playing cards and board games and had a wonderful baseball card collection. Christina will be missed by all who know her.
In addition to her mother and father, Christina was a beloved sister to Maria Morello and her wife Kathy Hebert- Morello of Northwood, NH, Richard Morello Jr and his wife Michele of Cranston, RI, and Christopher Morello and his wife Sandra of Westford. She was also a loving aunt to several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, on Saturday, March 26th at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit at the funeral home on Friday 4 – 7 PM.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be sent in Christina's name to St. St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105-9959.
