Vivian Charlene (Kearns) Simpson, 64, of Anderson passed away on March 19, 2022 at Ascension St. Vincent's Anderson following an extended illness.
She was born on September 28, 1957 in Paris, Kentucky to Ernest and Florene (Hopkins) Kearns. She graduated in the class of 1975 from Anderson High School and from the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy in March of 1984.
She was employed at the Madison County Sheriff's Department as a deputy for 7 years and later worked as a Motor Tech at Delco Remy until 2002. She attended Kingston Avenue Baptist Church. She loved eating out with her family and especially spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed shopping and watching Westerns.
She is survived by her son, Jeff Bierworth of Frankton; two grandchildren, Layla and Liam Bierworth; four siblings, Rita (Herb) Mummertt of Anderson, Carolyn Morgan of Knightstown, Jeff Kearns of California, and Jan Green of Anderson; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers-in-law, Ronald Morgan Sr. and Randy Green.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, March 25, 2022 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Pastor Alicia Robinson officiating. The burial will be in East Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 12:00pm until 2:00pm at the funeral home.
