Obituary



WORCESTER---Irene A. “Renny” (Rostock) Rojcewicz, 95, of Worcester, passed away peacefully, in the comfort of her home with family by her side on Friday, March 18, 2022. Her husband of 51 years, Walter A. Rojcewicz, Sr., died in 2001.

Irene was born in Meriden, CT., daughter of the late Walter and Helen Rostock and has lived in Worcester for most of her life. She is survived by her four children, Walter A. Rojcewicz, Jr., of Worcester, Peter M. Rojcewicz and his wife, Amy Dachs of Santa Barbara, CA., Irena C. Cassavant and her husband, Richard of Wichita Falls, TX., and Jeanne M. Sisko and her husband, Robert of Brooklyn, CT., three grandchildren, Benjamin R. Sisko and his wife, Antonia Pusso of Denver, CO., Zachary M. Sisko and his fianceé, Carro Halpin of Brighton, MA., and Elizabeth J. Sisko of San Francisco, CA., her sister-in-law, Ann Rostock of Fort Myers, FL., and many nieces and nephews including her Goddaughter, Jean M. Alfonso. She was predeceased by her sister, Jean Sokolowski and her brother, Walter Rostock, Jr.

Renny was a graduate of Boston University College of Liberal Arts and a graduate of Portia Law School, Boston where she received her Juris Doctorate Degree. Renny was the Administrative Secretary to the Executive Director of the Lincoln Square Boys & Girls Club for many years receiving the Service to Youth Award in 1992. Renny enjoyed summers with her family and grandchildren at the beach in Old Saybrook, CT., and was happiest attending her grandchildren’s athletic activities, dance recitals, college weekends and graduations. She was a life long member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish and its Women’s Guild.

The funeral will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2022 from HENRY – DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward Street, with a Mass at 10:30 A.M. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward Street. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours in the funeral home are Wednesday, March 23, 2022 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Czestochowa Restoration Fund, 34 Ward Street, Worcester, Ma., 01610.
