Leslie H. Volpe, 87, died Sunday, April 30 at the BayPointe Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Brockton. He was the widow of Lorraine (Hill) Volpe. Born in Newton, he was a graduate of Newton Schools and also attended Boston University. Mr. Volpe was a Veteran of both the US Army and US Navy and served in World War II and the Korean Conflict. After his retirement from the Navy in 1962, Mr. Volpe worked in the Purchasing and Expediting Department at Stone & Webster for over 20 years, before retiring in 1983. He was a member of the VFW in Stoughton.
Mr. Volpe is survived by his son Richard D. Corey of VT. He was the brother of Virginia E. Konvent of Newton and the late Louis Volpe Jr., George Volpe, Robert Volpe and Theresa Lambert.
Graveside Services will be held at Melrose Cemetery, 88 N. Pearl St., Brockton on Wednesday, May 3 at 11 AM. Donations in Leslie's name may be made to Vista Care, 690 Canton St., Westwood, 02090.
