Wayne Barros, age 67, of Canton passed away March 15th. Born and raised in Plymouth, he graduated from Plymouth High School. He worked in the Software Division for Nynex for 12 years, Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority in Boston for 10 years and also founded and operated World Media, an entertainment company located in Boston for 38 years. He has lived in Canton for the last 20 years and previously lived in Dorchester.
Beloved husband of Arlene Barros. Father of Wayne Barros Jr. and Jordan Barros both of FL. Grandfather of Maddox Barros of Dorchester. Brother of August Barros of RI, Kevin Fontes of CA, Mary Ann Robins of PA, Danielle Barros of Braintree, Rochelle Barros of Cambridge, and Sonya Barros of Braintree. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Thursday March 24th from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral Mass at St. Oscar Romero Parish 700 Washington St. Canton Friday morning March 25th at 10:00. Burial private.
