Alexander Jonathen “AJ” Briggs, age 27, of North Augusta, SC, formerly of Western, MA, died unexpectedly in a car accident on March 11, 2022. Born in Stoughton on July 19, 1994, he was raised in Orange. MA. AJ is the son of Kevin Farrell and Tina Chamberlain, and is survived by his stepparents Todd Chamberlain and Wendy Summers.
AJ loved family, football, fishing, golf and living life. A big part of AJ’s life was coming from a military family. After graduating from Pioneer Valley High School, he proudly served as an Air Traffic Controller and MP with the US Army during Operation Enduring Freedom. At the time of his passing, AJ worked as an Assistant Manager for Walmart.
AJ is survived by a large extended family including his Gramma Ruth Briggs; two brothers Sean and Shayne Farrell; two uncles Bruce Briggs and his wife Madeline and Kevin Briggs and his wife Denise; and his aunt Donna McGee and her husband Joe McGee of Kentucky. AJ also leaves a group of cousins who were more like siblings; Josh, Carol Rose, Chris, Ashley, Cassie, Kevin, Jr. and Troy.
AJ also had an extended “little people” following. Although a cousin, he was like an uncle. You see, AJ had no children of his own and he loved these little ones like his own: Riley, Bella, Brady, Charlotte, Harper, Madeline, Penny, Lilly Ann, Roselyn, Eva and Lilly.
In addition, AJ is also survived by great aunts and uncles, cousins, many friends and those whose hearts he touched. AJ was predeceased by Noni Viola Moriarty, Grampa Roger Briggs and Grampa Jack Farrell.
