LIMERICK – Diane Marie Glidden, age 68, passed away on March 16, 2022, at her home after a long and courageous battle with liver disease.
She was born in Saco, Maine on May 27, 1953, a daughter of late Kenneth Sr. and Doris (Sargent) Woodbrey.
Attended George E. Jack School and Bonny Eagle and received her GED in 1984.
She met the love of her life in 1984, Justin, and they were married on September 10, 1988. They built their dream home together in January of 1989 in Limerick, Maine, where they lived happily together.
Diane started working as a teenager at various shoe factories and did this for over 30 years. She also worked at Perkins Propane, Texas Instruments, and Dunkin as a baker until fully retiring.
Diane enjoyed spending time at the beach as well as shopping with her mother and two sisters, and spending time with her beloved family. She was very fond of animals and had a deep love for her Shih Tzu named Bella.
She is predeceased by her infant sister, her Mother-In-Law – Avis Glidden.
She is survived by her beloved husband – Justin E. Glidden; her children – Jimmy Ramsdell and his wife Holly of Acton, ME; Susan M. Lawrence and her husband Stephen of Hollis, ME; Gina Escalderon and her husband Jeff of Waverly, TN; Sabrina Sawyer and her husband DJ of Cloverville, SC; Justin F. Glidden and his wife Heather of Limerick, ME; eight grandchildren – Scott, Sarah, Tyler, Jesse, Aliyah, Abby, Jessica, and Megan; and 5 great grandchildren; two sisters Judy Provencher and husband Robert of Waterboro, ME; Dottie Provencher of Waterboro, ME; two brothers Kenneth Woodbrey Jr. and wife Beverly of Cornish, ME; Barry Woodbrey and wife Cathy of Fryeburg, ME.
Visiting hours will be held on Saturday March 26 from 4pm to 6pm followed by a funeral service at the Poitras, Neal, & York Funeral home, 71 Maple Street Cornish, ME. There will be a small reception after the service at the Greenleaf Masonic Lodge, 142 Maple St. Cornish, ME 04020.
