Sharon J. (Thomas) Davidson, affectionately known as “Mema”, age 74, of Brockton, died March 14, 2022 at Good Samaritan Medical Center. She was the devoted wife for 36 years of the late Kenneth Davidson.
Sharon was born and raised in Brockton, a daughter of Roberta Thomas Goldberg of West Palm Beach and the late Frederic Thomas and she remained a lifelong resident of the city. A 1965 graduate of Brockton High School, Sharon had worked at the Eastside Bradlees in Brockton and Carpet Max in Whitman.
Sharon loved sewing and crafting. She was the go-to seamstress for her family and friends and there wasn’t anything that she couldn’t make. Sharon was a strong, independent woman who would do anything for her family and friends. She never put herself first and loved her time with her children, grandchildren and great granddaughter.
Sharon was the loving mother of Kenneth Davidson, Jr. and his wife Angela of West Palm Beach, FL; Cari Ann Davenport and her significant other Sean Holmes of West Bridgewater, MA and Jamie Simmons and her husband Larry of Brockton. She was the sister of Lee Mellman of East Taunton, MA; Tracy McCulloch of Bellingham, MA; Robert Thomas of Bridgewater, MA; Richard Thomas of Orange Park, FL; Heidi Thomas of West Palm Beach, FL and the late Cynthia Thomas. Sharon was also the grandmother of Brittany Allen, Serena Davenport, Cassidy Davidson, Ariana Simmons, Eliza Simmons and Holly, Joshua, Hailey, Jacob, Serenity and Justin Davidson and great grandmother of Emma Allen. In addition, she also leaves many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held at the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (rte.123) Brockton on Tuesday March 22, 2022 from 9-12noon followed by a graveside service in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
