Isabelle O. (Alin-Green) Nystrom, 92 died April 28, 2006 at the Knollwood Nursing Center. She leaves her husband of 32 years, Kenneth D. Nystrom, a daughter, Barbara Seeger and her husband Richard of Blue Hill, ME; 2 sons, Roger Green and his wife, Wilda of W. Bath, ME; Jon Green and his wife Judy of Old Lyme, CT and Ft.Pierce, FL; 3 granddaughters, 6 grandsons, and 5 great-grandsons.
Her former husband, Clair Green, her sister, Alice Hedberg, and her brother pre-deceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Ivar and Hulda (Erickson) Alin. She lived most of her life in Worcester, except for 11 years in Jefferson. She attended Worcester schools and graduated from the former North High School and Becker College. She was a lifelong member of Belmont Street Baptist Church. She was a Sunday School teacher, active in youth and adult groups, Missionary Society, choir, and Scandinavian Women’s Organization. She was active in Girl Scouts, field hockey, basketball, and swimming.
A memorial service will be held on Tues. May 2, 2006 at 11:00 am in Belmont Street Baptist Church. A private burial will be held in Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the General Fund or Faith Promise Fund of Belmont St. Baptist Church, 25 Belmont St., Worcester, MA 01605; or Summit Elder Care, 277 E. Mountain St. Worcester, MA 01606, or Knollwood Nursing Center, 87 Briarwood Cir., Worcester, MA 01606.
The family has entrusted Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St. with the arrangements.
