Marie L. Linscott (Colosi) passed away peacefully at the Winchester Hospital supported by the love of her family. She was 85. Born and raised in Somerville, Marie was the daughter of the late Rosario and Philomena (Sapione) Colosi. Marie lived in Somerville virtually all her life. In the past few years she resided with her daughter Linda in Stoneham. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Marie loved her family deeply. She gathered her family together as much as possible over the years, making sure that holidays, birthdays and other life milestones were celebrated with suitable home cooked meals at her table. Marie had a large circle of friends with whom she enjoyed traveling and spending time. Marie enjoyed a nearly 30 year career working with the City of Somerville. She headed the City’s Purchasing Department and was so respected by her peers that she served for many years on the Board of Directors of the Somerville Municipal Federal Credit Union. Marie had a special place in her heart for animals and loved her wonderful pet cats through the years.
The beloved wife of the late Raymond Linscott who passed away in 2016, Marie was a devoted mother to Linda Linscott and her husband John Lewis of Stoneham and Lisa Scolaro and her husband Brian of Malden. She was a loving grandmother to Jacob, Leigh-Ann, Taylor, Derek, Bradley and his wife Katrina Austen and Rose. Marie was predeceased by her sister Camille Aruda and brother, Anthony Colosi.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, on Monday March 21st from 10 AM until Noon with a funeral service celebrated at Noon. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
