CHICOPEE – Ann Marie (Kozik) Liswell, 58, of the Chicopee Falls section of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Thursday, March 10, 2022. She passed into Eternal Life at home surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born in Paterson, NJ on September 23, 1963, the beloved daughter of the late Chester W. and Carol A. (Kozaka) Kozik. She was raised in Chicopee, graduated from Chicopee High School class of 1981 and had lived in Chicopee most of her life. She furthered her education and received her Master’s Degree in Education from Westfield State University. She was employed by the City of Chicopee and had worked as a Teacher for many years and later worked as the Vice Principal at the Fairview Veterans Memorial Elementary School in Chicopee. She was a communicant of Sainte Rose de Lima Church in Chicopee. She also was a member of the Massachusetts Teachers Association and lovingly supported all of her husband’s endeavors and organizations that he belonged to. Above all, she loved spending time with her family and her many friends. She leaves her beloved husband and best friend, Robert J. Liswell. They were married on September 20, 2003 at the former Saint Patrick Church in Chicopee Falls and were blessed with over 18 years of happiness together. She also leaves her loving son, Colby W. Liswell of Chicopee; her dear uncle and Godfather, Ted Kozaka and his wife, Patty, of Cromwell, CT and their sons, Matthew and Jeffrey Kozaka; her dear sister in law, Michelle Liswell Zimmek and her husband, John Zimmek, of Chicopee; her dear brother in law, Michael Liswell of Chicopee; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family members and numerous colleagues and friends. Her Funeral will be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 beginning at the St. Pierre-Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020, (funeral home will open at 8:30 a.m.), followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Sainte Rose de Lima Church, 594 Grattan Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her Burial will follow the Mass at Saint Stanislaus Cemetery, 800 Montgomery Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, March 21, 2022 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The parking lot and main entrance of the funeral home are located in the rear at 20 Lafayette Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Masks are recommended for her services.
