Nancy A. Gomes, 68, of New Bedford, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, March 13, 2022. She was the long time companion of the late Vernon Anderson.
Born in New Bedford, daughter of Joseph and Josephine (Duarte) Gomes, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
Nancy loved to cook and enjoyed giving her food to her neighbors and friends. She was a generous person who loved taking care of others.
Survivors include her parents; her children, Jason Gomes and his partner Krista, of Johnston, RI, and Shannon Gomes of New Bedford; two sisters, Maria Gomes of New Bedford, and Diane Harling of Stone Mountain, GA; her grandchildren, Aleah and Mason; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She is predeceased by her brother Michael Gomes.
Her Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, March 17th at 11:30 AM at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 47 S 6th Street, New Bedford.
