LEICESTER: Adele M. (Riley) Lafayette, 96, formerly of Henshaw Street in the Rochdale section of Leicester died Thursday, March 10 in Knollwood Nursing Center.
Her husband Kenneth J. Lafayette died in 2011. She leaves a son Paul K. Lafayette and his wife Shannon of Leicester, two daughters; Carole M. Kuczarski and her husband Stephen of Springfield and Diane M. Gustafson and her husband David of New Braintree, a brother Gene P. Riley of Natick, five grandchildren; Laura Moore and her husband Michael, Michael Kuczarski, Cara Kuczarski and her husband Aaron, Kristina Biro and her husband Andrew and Melissa Kobierski and her husband Steven, six great-grandchildren; Ava Kuczarski, Thomas & Henry Moore, Elsie & Kyle Biro and Svenna Kobierski and several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by a brother John Riley and two sisters; Patricia Sennette and Mildred Pennini.
Adele was born in East Boston, daughter of John and Mildred (Nelson) Riley. She worked over 30 years for the Worcester Elder Services as a site manager at the Leicester Senior Center before retiring. She loved going on family vacations, going to concerts & plays, and cooking Sunday dinners for her family. The family would like to thank the staff at Knollwood Nursing Center and the JHC Hospice for their kind and compassionate care.
The Funeral will be held on Wednesday, March 16 from the MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main Street with a Mass at 11:00 AM in St. Aloysius-St. Jude Church, 489 Pleasant Street, Leicester. Burial will be at 2:00 PM in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam. A calling hour will precede the service from 9:30-10:30 AM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 516 Carew Street, Springfield, MA 01104.
