Obituary

Sutton: Linda M. (Hattula) Schofield, 74, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 10, 2022 at home surrounded by her loving family. She leaves her beloved husband of 39 years Bernard Schofield; a daughter Melinda Schofield of Webster; two grandsons- Justin Demma of Webster and Tanner Demma of Holland, MA; and cousins Richard Hautaniemi and his wife Justine of Sterling, Barbara LaFortune and her husband Michael of Holden, Lois Kerbel and her husband Charlie of Dennis, MA, and David Maki and his wife Kate of Loudon, TN.

Linda was born in Worcester on April 7, 1947 to Henry and Lillian Hattula. She grew up spending summers swimming and water skiing on Webster Lake with her cousins and friends. After graduating from Leicester High School, she went on to graduate from Forsyth School of Dental Hygiene at Northeastern University, class of 1966 where she was a member of the Student Council and Little Sisters Committee.

She worked as a dental hygienist for many years at the office of Dr. Coakley on Burncoat St. in Worcester. Although Linda and Bernard enjoyed traveling to warm, sunny islands, their yearly vacations to Ogunquit, Maine in the summer and Marco Island in Florida in the winter were their favorites. Linda and her husband also enjoyed attending all their grandson's sporting events.

Special thanks to the nurses of Salmon Hospice Program, especially Ann Gurney, RN, Melinda Schofield, LPN, and Melissa, CNA, for their compassionate care and dedication to Linda during her illness.
