Marjorie Anne (McGraw) Matney, 97, of Anderson, passed peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on March 10, 2022.
Born on August 13, 1924 in Summitville , she graduated from Summitville High School in 1942. Mom enjoyed spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They meant the world to her.
Surviving are two daughters, Linda Callaway, Athens, Tennessee, Rebecca (Mike) Ray of Anderson; grandchildren, Matthew (Carla) Callaway, Noblesville, Patrick (Valerie) Richmond, Muncie, Scott (Dr. Alexis Chambers) Ray Aurora, Illinois; great-grandchildren, Lauren Callaway, Mackenzie Turner, Jaiden (Ali Harris) Turner, Jayce Turner, Hudson Matney Richmond ("Gigi's Doll Baby") and Ila Turner.
Mom joined in Heaven her husband, Roy F. Matney who passed in 2006; her mother and father, Wayne & Flora McGraw; two brothers, Myron McGraw and Marshall McGraw and two infant siblings.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Heart to Heart Hospice care and granddaughter-in-law, Valerie Richmond, who helped take care of mom, your love for mom showed no bounds.
Mom, your journey here with us has come to an end, but we will meet you and Dad again with joyful happiness.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Rev. Corinne Boruff officiating. Burial will be in East Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Wednesday from 12:00 p.m. to 2p.m. at the funeral home.
