Obituary

Bryant D. Burnard, age 52, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home in Boston on March 6th, 2022. He is survived by his beloved life partner of over 25 years, Michele Robinson.

He is also survived by his parents Eileen Gillern Burnard of Franklin, MA and Walter Eugene Burnard of Marlboro, MA. Bryant also leaves a brother, Christian Burnard of Hubbardston, MA, as well as a sister Melissa Hartnett, her husband Robert and a niece, Lauren Hartnett, all of Vienna, VA.

Born in Titusville, FL on July 14, 1969, Bryant would joke that he saw Apollo 11 launch from the hospital. After briefly living in Florida and Oklahoma, Bryant’s elementary through middle school years were spent in Norfolk, MA. He graduated from Xaverian Brothers High School in 1987 and then received a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Tufts University in 1991. He excelled in many sports, in both high school and college, earning many awards. After college, his passion was to be out on his boat or relaxing with his friends at Squantum Yacht Club in Quincy, MA. Bryant was always one to make a joke, funny remark, and make anyone laugh with his easy-going personality. Always offering to lend a hand, Bryant had the biggest heart, and is missed dearly.

A memorial mass will be held on Wednesday, March 16 at St. Jude Church, 86 Main Street in Norfolk at 10 a.m.

Burial will be private.
