BUXTON- Debora R. Flaherty, age 82, passed away on March 7, 2022, in Westbrook.
She was born in Rumford, Maine on July 15, 1939, the daughter of the late Harold O. Hall and Alice (Bealieau) Hall and she attended Winthrop Schools.
Debbie, “Mom”, “Grammie”, “Nannie” found her joy with family, her source of greatest pride, strength and happiness. She adored her animals over the years especially Daisy and Bella. Over the years she honed her skills at various crafting skills of quilting, crocheting and knitting gifts for loved ones.She also spent her favorite rainy days crafting cards for her extended family each holiday, always with love and care adding just the right whimsy of personality for the receiver.
She is predeceased by her first husband Malcolm M. Murray Jr.: and her beloved “EMF”, Edward M. Flaherty; and two stepsons, Mathew and Thomas Flaherty.
She is survived by her children-LouAnn Edwards and her husband Rodney of Buxton, Charles E. Murray and his wife Nickie of Limington, Kathleen P. De Angelo and her husband Tony of Pomfret, CT, Malcolm M. Murray III and his wife Lylian of Pollok, TX and Edward Flaherty III and his wife Karen of Baileyville, ME: a brother-Harold O. Hall Jr. and his wife Carolyn of Claremont, NH; twenty six grandchildren: and forty-one great grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday March 15, from 2-3PM at the Chad E. Poitras Cremation and Funeral Service Chapel, 498 Long Plains Road (RT. 22) in Buxton. At 3 PM, a funeral service will begin at the funeral home. Burial will be in the spring at Glenside Cemetery in Winthrop.
