Jaquan Louis Rowell, better known as "Quan" was the son of Christina Melissa Rowell. He entered into this world on May 12, 1992 in Boston, Massachusetts. He departed this life on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts.
Jaquan grew up in Dorchester/ Mattapan area of Boston and attended Boston Public Schools throughout his youth. Jaquan was known to many as a "Family Man". He enjoyed traveling with his grandmother Azerlene and his aunt Frances Jean up and down the 95 coastlines to visit relatives.
"Quan" as he was affectionately called by many. Loved to take pictures. He was always ready to capture candid shots of family and friends. His Favorite hobbies were also playing music, playing basketball, and going to every family function.
"Quan" was also known for his big smile and his laugh. It would light up a room to many.
Jaquan is preceded in death by his great grandmother (Catherine Wigfall- Rowell, his great grandfather James Lee Rowell, his grand uncles, Bobby Lee and Freddie Rowell, James Graham Floyd and James Edward Williams.
He leaves to cherish sweet memories, his loving family, his mother Christina Melissa "Pinky" Rowell (Lavonya Hodge) of Boston, Massachusetts, his bonus mom Sheilia Dingle of Taunton, Massachusetts, his grandmother Azerlene Rowell of Boston, his grandfather Joseph Nichols of South Carolina, one uncle Shon Bernard Rowell of Atlanta, Georgia, his grand aunts, Minister Carolyn Williams, Irene Jacqueline Rowell, Minister Frances Jean Darden, Ethel Rowell and Erwin Rowell, all of Boston, Massachusetts. His grand uncles , James Edward Rowell Sr., and Joe Dexter Rowell Sr., of Boston, Massachusetts, and a host of loving cousins, other relatives and friends.
The family has requested that there be no viewing hours. A Religious Service will be on Thursday March 17, 2022 from 10-11 AM in the Joseph Russo Funeral Home located at 814 American Legion Highway, Roslindale, Ma. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery located at 427 Cummins Highway, Roslindale, Ma.
