LOWELL Sabino C. Figueiredo, 74, a longtime Lowell resident, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2022 after a brief illness. He was the widower of the late Maria E. (Conde) Figueiredo who passed away in 2015 after sharing 38 years of marriage.
He was born in Lisbon, Portugal on November 2, 1947 and was a son of the late Jose Figueiredo and the late Maria Joaquina (Casimimiro) Figueiredo. He was raised and educated in Portugal and served his country in the Portuguese military. He came to the United States in 1977, settling in Lowell’s back central street neighborhood.
He worked for over 20 years at Prince Macaroni as a maintenance man and later with Joan Fabrics for about 10 years. Finally he worked with Fletcher Granite, form which he retired in 2019. He enjoyed fishing, festivals and scratch tickets. He loved to socialize and enjoyed a good drink every once in a while.
Mr. Figueiredo is survived by his children, Paul Figueiredo and Ana Figueiredo, both of Lowell, his brothers, Jose Luis Figueiredo and his wife, Alexandrina, of Lowell, his sisters in law, Alcinda Silva of Pelham, NH and Lionilda Silva of Dracut, many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
He was a brother in law of the late Valdmiro Conde, the late Manuel Conde, and Jeronima Conde.
On Wednesday, March 9, 2022 all are welcome to attend his calling hours from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. at McDonough Funeral Home, 14 Highland Street, Lowell, 978-458-6816.
His funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Westlawn II Cemetery in Lowell.
