Marguerite I. (Pless) Perryman, 70, of Dartmouth died March 3, 2022 peacefully at St. Luke's Hospital.
Born in Boston, daughter of the late Willie James Wilson and Mary Ida (Pless) Wilson, she was raised in Miami and lived most of her life in New Bedford before moving to Dartmouth. She wintered in Dade County.
Mrs. Perryman was formerly employed as a bus driver for the MBTA in Boston and later with Tremblay Bus Company until her retirement.
Marguerite enjoyed singing in multiple choirs at UMass, House of Prayer, and her home church Bethel A.M.E. She also enjoyed playing bingo, trips to the casino, visiting friends and family across the country, and playing Phaze 10.
Survivors include her 2 sons, Lee E. Perryman, III and his husband Bryan Perryman Conrad of Canton, GA and Willie James Perryman of Boston; a daughter, Georgina Whalen and her husband Michael of Towson, MD; her former husband, Lee E. Perryman, Jr. of Boston; 2 brothers, Bernard Wilson of Medford and James Wilson of Boston; 3 sisters, Valorie Mann of Mattapan and Barbara Garron of New Bedford, and Ora Lee McCoy of Miami; 6 grandchildren, Diallo R.M. Whalen, Lee E. Perryman, IV, Willie James Perryman, Jr., Leeon E. Perryman, Williana L. Perryman and Summer Willow Perryman; her friend, Maurice Williams; and numerous nieces, nephews and Godchildren; and great-grandchildren.
Her visiting hours will be held on Tuesday March 8th from 4-6 PM followed by her Memorial Service at 6:30 PM in the from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
