Rodney “Snizzy Huh” Thigpen (4/25/1985-3/2/2022)
Formerly of The Point in Dorchester, he passed peacefully at home in Brockton on 3/2/22, after a courageous 10 month battle with cancer. During this time he never spoke of his pain or his fears. He had a fighting attitude and gave treatments his best shot. He had a remarkable way of concerning himself with how everyone else was doing, and as always told everyone, “everything is gonna be alright”. His biggest concern was for that of his daughters, and Bridget in his passing. He had his faith and found solace in that, as well as his music, which was his passion. Rodney loved his family and friends to the extreme and would drop everything if they were in need.
Rodney is survived by his fiancee, Bridget O’Neil and their daughters Kalicia and Kiera Thigpen. He was the son of Donna Thigpen and Ronald Jones of Lynn, and the brother of Sequita and Zanella Thigpen and Anastaeisha Kennedy-Jones. Rodney is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family during visiting hours on Wednesday 3/9/22 from 12-2 at the Casper Funeral Home, Dorchester St, South Boston and a brief memorial will follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to an account for Bridget and the girls. Donations by check can be made payable to Coastal Heritage Bank, c/o Lisa Kenney, 560 Plain St, Marshfield, MA 02050, or can also be made to a gofundme account that has been set up as well @ https://gofund.me/ea812f1c .
The family wishes to thank Old Colony Hospice and Coombs Foundation and all those, who have been so supportive in so many ways, during this difficult time.
