Obituary



Mary Anne DiMarzo age 92, of Brockton, passed on March 2, 2022 at Signature Healthcare/Brockton Hospital. Born and raised in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Cappiello) DiMarzo. She was a 1947 graduate of Brockton High School and attended Bentley College.

Mary started her working career at the Edison Company, had been a secretary at Cardinal Spellman High School and was a clerk in several departments in Brockton City Hall, retiring from the auditor’s office.

Mary enjoyed painting and was a volunteer at Brockton Hospital. She was a member of the Third Order of St. Francis at the Chapel of Our Savior and the Catholic Womens Club. Mary will be remembered as a kind, caring woman with a sense of humor who was devoted to her family, her friends and Catholic faith.

Mary was the sister of the late Michael DiMarzo and his late wife Eileen and the late Mario DiMarzo and his wife Joan DiMarzo of Brockton.

Mary leaves her nieces and nephews Linda DiMarzo and Elizabeth (Liz) Galvin both of Dunedin, FL, Lisa Danby and her husband Dr. Chris Danby of Kentucky, Karen DiMarzo of Brockton and Paul DiMarzo and his wife Audrey of Ann Arbor, MI. She also leaves her grand nieces and nephews Christopher and Margaux Danby, Kelsey Galvin, Kristen Galvin Zhao and Jack and Lauren DiMarzo.

Visitation will be held at the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (rte. 123) Brockton on Tuesday March 8, 2022 from 5-8pm. The procession will gather at the funeral home on Wednesday at 9 am for a funeral Mass at St. Ann Church West Bridgewater at 10am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery, Brockton.
